India’s federal Education Minister this week unveiled 15 new educational courses aimed at spreading “Indian knowledge tradition”, a reference to the study of ancient Hindu religious texts. Indian Muslims have accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government of “forcing religious education” on kids from other faiths.
